NWECS Logo

Northwest Emergency Communications Service (NWECS) is a communications organization, whose membership primarily consists of public safety professionals who have a common interest in communications.

Eligibility of membership is not limited to just public safety professionals. Some members are retired or former public safety professionals, business people, and other citizens who have an interest in communications and our organization.

NWECS operates on several UHF repeaters on GMRS frequencies, in Northwest New Jersey. Primary repeater coverage includes Sussex, Morris, Warren, and Passaic Counties.

NWECS also has authorization to operate on repeaters of affiliated communications organizations.

Members of NWECS are permitted to use NWECS and affiliated repeaters. Members also get their own nwecs.org e-mail address, in which they automatically receive e-mails from the organizational list server.

Please be advised that the organization and this website are undergoing changes.
